Is An SUV Right For You

SUVs are one of the most versatile vehicles on the market. They offer great family legroom and more storage for gear than a regular car making them ideal for family vacations.

What Are The Different Types Of SUVs

If you're in the market for an SUV, first, consider what size will best suit your needs. There are small SUVs (also called crossovers), midsize SUVs, and large SUVs.

  • Smaller SUVs offer better fuel economy and easier maneuverability, while large SUVs can accommodate more people and gear.

  • Crossovers are based on a car chassis, so they have unibody construction and usually offer better fuel economy than truck-based SUVs. They also tend to be smaller and more maneuverable than truck-based SUVs.

  • Midsize SUVs offer a happy medium between crossovers and large SUVs. They're big enough to comfortably seat up to eight people, but not so large that they're difficult to park or maneuver.

  • Large SUVs are the largest and most expensive SUVs on the market. They offer the most passenger and cargo space, but can be difficult to park and maneuver. They also tend to have poorer fuel

Next, decide what kind of features you're looking for in a SUV. Do you need four-wheel drive for off-roading or bad weather? Would you like a third row of seating to fit more passengers? Do you need a lot of cargo space for hauling gear?

This Isn't Your Dad's Pickup Truck Anymore

Benefits Of A Truck With Features Of An SUV

Trucks have been synonymous with the American way of life for generations. They've been used to haul everything from livestock, lumber, material and everything in between. The trend for years has been to transform them from rugged reliable work vehicles into luxury machines. Some have even come to think of them as big SUVs. It's no wonder that pick-up trucks are some of the most popular vehicles in America.

Luxury With Function

One of the hottest features to hit the market is automated and multi-function tailgates. Ram took the lead in 2019 and introduced their Multi-Function Tailgate. This available feature allows you to open and close their tailgate with the push of a button. The Multi-Function Tailgate also features a 60/40 split door that can be opened to about 90 degrees, making it easier to load and unload cargo.

Safety That Won't Bruise Your Ego

The Multi-Function Tailgate has been a huge success due to its many features and benefits. The automated opening and closing is a big time saver, and the split door design is extremely helpful when loading and unloading cargo. What you might not realize however is its safety benefits.

How many times have you seen someone trying to climb into the back of a truck only to slip and fall? It happens more often than you might think. At a minimum it's embarrassing. You get a few bumps and bruises, but more serious injuries can and do occur. The Multi-Function Tailgate can help prevent these types of accidents by providing a safe and easy way to get in and out of the bed of the truck.

3 Key Things To Know Before You Buy A Car

What Is A Good Deal On A Car

Everyone wants to get the best deal on a car they can, It's human nature and makes financial sense. However, getting that deal isn't always up to the car dealership. Your budget, credit score and trade-in value all play significant factors in what you actually pay for your car.

Know Your Budget

Most people think a budget is what you can afford monthly, but it also determines what cars and the features will have. A car that you like may have several trim levels with different features, but they will come at a higher price. So know your budget and research cars and trim levels that fit in it.

Know Your Must Haves

If you've done your research then you probably have an idea of what you're looking for. But It's important to know your must-haves in a vehicle. For some people, it might be four-wheel drive or a sunroof, but for others, it might be heated seats and remote start.

Know Your Can Do With Outs

After you know your must haves, you can start looking at what you can do without. It all ties back into your budget and what you're willing to spend. If you're not worried about having the latest and greatest features, then you can probably get by with a base model vehicle.

With your budget, must have, and do with outs in mind, head to a dealership and have a conversation with the salesperson. They will be able to guide you to a vehicle that fits your needs best. You will then have a better understanding of what a good deal on a car looks like.

CM Truck Beds Debuts New Models in Indy

CM Truck Beds displayed a variety of new products certain for commercial and fleet users at The Work Truck Show 2020. The bodies on display were more specialized than in previous years, allowing commercial truck buyers to see a wider path to the products that CM Truck Beds manufactures.
At the show, CM introduced its new CB Contractor Body, a testament to the evolution of the company’s product lineup. This body looks similar to many of the flatdeck truck beds that CM builds, but it comes standard with a set of deck-top toolboxes as well as rear 24-inch stake panels for construction and commercial users to store and haul tools and equipment.
The CB model is also equipped with a heavy-duty overhead materials rack for commercial users to haul ladders, scaffolding, and materials.
CM introduced a new crane body, built in conjunction with Dakota Bodies, that offers the perfect marriage of heavy-duty functionality and affordability. Equipped with an Auto Crane and a capacity of more than 6,000 pounds, this easy-to-maneuver unit is designed to lift and load heavy materials and equipment on the job site, making it a sensible solution for users across many vocations.
Rounding out its product debuts, CM showcased its new TM Deluxe 11’4” truck body. This model is a new design on its original body chassis; however, in the 84-inch CA configuration, it now features a best-in-class 52-inch wide toolbox with suicide doors. This new towing-style service body gives commercial users the ability to have more storage for tools and components while eliminating the need to open multiple toolbox doors for access.
The wide box configuration also allows users to store longer tools, rather than leaving them out in the weather.
Finally, CM announced a new partnership with CTech Manufacturing at the show. With this new partnership, CM is able to offer the high-quality slide-out drawer systems at OEM level to help users equip their bodies faster and with higher quality drawer sets than ever before. All CTech cabinets are one-piece modules that have high capacity, ball-bearing drawer slides to withstand the elements and the hard work that users put them through day in and out.
